Claim this ListingCity Salsa is established as one of the major salsa and bachata schools in London for over 20 years, with teachers academically trained in various styles of dance.
Our goal has always been to train our students with passion and prove to everyone that dancing is for all. We have been able to achieve this due to our excellent line up of teachers, who go through a vigorous training process.
We offer multiple levels of classes from beginners to advanced and progress is at your desired pace; go slow or progress quickly; there is no limit or obstacles to your learning journey with us.
We welcome beginners and you do not need to bring a dance partner. We want you to learn salsa and bachata and become great at dancing. All this while making new friends, keeping fit and having loads of fun.
Once you join us, you would wish that you joined us sooner!
So come along – choose a venue and class and begin your dance journey with us
Amazing atmosphere, awesome teachers, if you want to learn this beautiful skill this is the place to be
I really like this place, it's an extremely friendly and fun night. I've been dancing for nearly 20 years and this is the best place I've been to for a long time, definitely my favourite.
Nice crew, going for more than a year :)
UPDATE: They have restarted classes in the Clapham area and are as good as always. Will be going to classes regularly now and see how it goes. The text below is for people's reference.
Archived (2015-2016): A few years ago, they had very good teachers, nice music and good moves. Since then, they have moved their base a few too many times - every time dumping students in the cold, from what I have seen.
I have personally been left holding a loyalty card with over 8 classes remaining for a stretch of over 8 months without knowing if they had permanently shut down or not (the only reason I came to know about them reopening is because I was contacted to edit my earlier 1 star review). Most recently, I had a deja vu moment with loads of students turning up at the venue, only to be turned away by the bar security as nobody had been intimated that CitySalsa had shut down for a few months.
My recommendation: Go when the classes happen. Don't count on them being regular.
